From the A1

At the Metro Centre take the A694 signposted ‘Consett’. Follow the road through Rowlands Gill, when you go past Tesco’s on the left take the next junction to the right signposted ‘High Spen/Ryton’. Stay on this road until you enter High Spen, the entrance to Chopwell Wood is on the left (opposite Claire’s Saddlery)
